These terms govern your use of the Settlr app and the joinsettlr.com website. By using Settlr, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
Settlr is a tool for splitting bills. You scan a receipt, we help you divide it into items, and you share a link so others can claim what they had. Settlr is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter. We don’t move, hold, or guarantee any funds — people pay each other directly through services they already use.
You can use Settlr anonymously, or sign in with Apple or Google. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country.
Any money owed is settled directly between you and your guests using third-party services (Venmo, mobile money, bank transfer, etc.). Settlr only displays the amounts and the payment handles you choose to show. We are not responsible for completing, verifying, refunding, or resolving disputes about those payments. “Mark as paid” is a convenience for tracking — it is not proof of payment.
Settlr is free to use up to 3 tabs per month. Premium (unlimited tabs and full history) is available as a monthly, yearly, or lifetime purchase. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel in your store account. Refunds are handled by the store under their policies.
Automatic scanning is convenient but not perfect. Always review the extracted items, prices, tax, and tip before sharing a tab. You’re responsible for the final amounts.
We work to keep Settlr running, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and realtime updates are best-effort.
Settlr is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Settlr and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any amounts owed between you and the people you split with. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
You can stop using Settlr and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
We may update these terms. If changes are material we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
